Pelé offers four different assessments that help individuals and leaders improve themselves. With the help of Pelé's certified coaches, the results of the assessments are used to promote personal growth, corporate success and societal significance.

A. DISC

DISC is an acronym for the four main personality profiles:

(D)ominant, (I)nfluencing, (S)teady and (C)ompliant.

The DISC is a model of human behavior that provides a framework for understanding the different personality types. It can help you to better understand yourself and the people around you, and to communicate more effectively with them. This model of human behaviour is based on two foundational observations about how people normally behave:

1. Some people are more outgoing (extroverted), while others are more reserved (introverted) in their response to the world around them.

2. Some people are more task-oriented, while others are more people-oriented. It could be said that these two foundational dynamics create a behavioural matrix for people. These behavioural tendencies are neither right or wrong, good or bad in themselves. DISC uses your own preferences and views of your normal behaviour styles in a nominated situation, rather than others' observations.
The DISC assessment tools have been used by more than 50 million people to bring leaders profound self-awareness, revolutionise relationships, optimise communication, improve efficiency and effectiveness in the work environment, and reduce stress.

B. Beyond The DISC: 4D Report

Beyond the DISC Report is the 4D Report. In essence, the amazing discoveries from your DISC report is the "tip of the iceberg". So 4D Report begins with the DISC and then goes deeper into one's thinking style and team contributions (TEAMS), core beliefs and foundational convictions (VALUES) as well as hidden motivators and attitudes (BAI).
With the 4D, companies can better understand their teams' needs, motivations and fears and effectively manage their dynamics for efficiency.

At PELÉ, we use the metaphor of Peeling the Onion and Going Beneath the Iceberg, to demonstrate the role of the 4D report. This is because just as the onion is peeled from outside to the core, the 4D is a journey to the core of who you are. We call it your authentic self, without which there is no real transformation of yourself or of others, nor is there sustainable impact, no matter how noble the shared purpose of leadership or organization might be.

C. Trust, Respect & Reputation Survey

This is a concise, confidential and customized survey that gives the leader a clear picture of what the staff think about their leadership and that of the board and managers.

Once the staff has completed the survey, we'll deliver a comprehensive report of the results, interpret them and provide concrete and practical suggestions for building, reinforcing or restoring trust, respect and great reputation in your leadership in the organization.

D. Emotional Intelligence (EQ or El)

Emotional Intelligence (EQ or El) determines 90% of your success as an executive leader. You had better believe it. The research clearly shows that EQ contributes 80-90% of the competencies that distinguish outstanding from average leaders, IQ being equal. Every leader had better assess theirs to objectively know their chances at success.

PELÉ has developed an assessment of EQ based on Goleman's three self-awareness, three social awareness, six self-management, and seven relationship management indices.

Each characteristic has an apt Goleman definition and a detailed description, leaving no ambiguity in the mind of the leader taking the assessment as to what exactly each means. For example under social awareness, empathy is defined as, "sensing others' emotions, understanding their perspective, and taking active interest in their concerns."

The description of empathy then is as follows: "Leaders with empathy are able to attune to a wide range of emotional signals, letting them sense the felt, but unspoken, emotions in a person or group. Such leaders listen attentively and can grasp the other person's perspective. Empathy makes a leader able to get along well with people of diverse backgrounds or from other cultures."
